Bob Thomas
Bob Thomas founded Create College Money to help serious high school students maximize their college experience. As a young man he saw his tremendous potential
as a baseball player dissipate because he was unfamiliar with the recruiting process. He struggled to find his way back to college and earn a degree before
finally finding his stride as a successful small business owner. Meanwhile, Bob never left his love of sports and has devoted considerable time helping young
athletes live their dreams as a high school basketball coach, personal pitching, hitting and fielding instructor at Extra Innings, and scout and recruiter for
college bound athletes. His combines his passion for sports with a commitment for youth in his authoring of two books, Self Marketing for Student Athletes and
Self Marketing for Academic Students. His motto is Passion + Process + Performance = Perfection.
Dr. Loren Murfield
Dr. Loren Murfield is the CEO and President of Murfield International, Inc. where he helps individuals and organizations seize their opportunity to Unleash
the UltimateTM. His passion and mission is to help each and every individual he meets sense and seize their ultimate opportunities. To that end, he enjoys
inspiring, informing and encouraging business, civic, educational and religious as “The Opportunity Professor” in person and online.
Loren worked warehouse and factory jobs before returning to college at age 31 to earn the first of his degrees. He holds an A.B.S. from Trinity
Lutheran College of Seattle, his B.S. and M.S. from South Dakota State University and Ph.D. in Communication Studies from the University of Nebraska.
He has taught 23 undergraduate and M.B.A. courses and continues to serve as an adjunct faculty member in the Roger Williams Graduate Leadership program
(Rhode Island.) In 2004, he relocated his executive coaching practice from Pennsylvania to Florida and also began developing the Osei-Mensah & Murfield
School of Communication and the Osei-Mensah & Murfield Consulting firm in Ghana, West Africa. In 2007 Loren authored his first book, Chevettes to Corvettes:
Unleashing the Ultimate Small Business and has continued with his second book in 2009 The Black Book of Making More Money in Tough Times and eight more
in 2010, including The R.O.I. of Compassion, Now What? Sensing and Seizing Opportunities When You Need Them Most, and Humble Homesteaders: A
South Dakota Legacy of Integrity. He partnered with Bob Thomas to found Create College Money in 2010. Dr. Murfield is a professional member
of the National Speakers Association and is the former Dean of the Academy for the Central Florida chapter.
